Suppose that the deteriorating condition of the Russian Navy placed the former Soviet nuclear arsenal at risk. Imagine where increasing crime and corruption in the military might lead. What could go wrong?
I mean, things can't get so bad that a nuclear missile sub would actually catch fire in dry dock.
That sounds too much like fiction, right? Frighteningly, a similar situation is at the heart of The Seventh Angel, the audiobook thriller I just finished producing. One of the things I like about the book is that while it's a military thriller there really isn't any science fiction in it. It's all too easy to picture the story actually happening.
It is now in the QC queue at ACX. What that means is that they are doing their final technical checks and plan to make the book go "live" at Amazon.com and Audible.com in something like a couple of weeks. Meanwhile the author, Jeff Edwards, is tuning up the cover art for the release.
While you wait, please enjoy this teaser from the sample audio. As soon as the audiobook is available for download I'll let you know.
